My professional journey has been shaped by a commitment to financial integrity, continuous learning, accountability and the practical application of knowledge. Across my roles, I have worked in financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, tax administration, financial analysis, internal controls and process improvement.
These experiences have reinforced my belief that financial management is not simply about recording transactions or producing reports. It is about providing reliable information, protecting resources, strengthening decision-making and supporting institutions to fulfil their responsibilities.
I currently serve as Manager, Tax, at the Nigeria Revenue Service. My responsibilities include processing and validating tax returns and non-tax declarations, reconciling tax payments against returns, maintaining taxpayer records, identifying discrepancies and preparing reports on filing and payment performance.
Before this role, I served in the public sector at the National Sugar Development Council, where my responsibilities included financial statements, management reporting, budget planning support, financial analysis and fixed-asset management. My earlier experience in private-sector accounting and administration also strengthened my understanding of cost management, reconciliations, internal controls and operational efficiency.
My academic journey reflects a sustained commitment to professional development. I completed an MSc in Professional Accountancy at the University of London and earned a BSc in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University. These qualifications build on my Higher Diploma in Accountancy from Yaba College of Technology and my professional affiliation with ACCA.
However, my ambitions extend beyond technical proficiency.
I am passionate about mentoring young women and girls, supporting professional development and contributing to community advancement. I believe that when people receive the right knowledge, guidance and opportunities, they are better positioned to make informed decisions and contribute meaningfully to society.
This belief informs my work as Founder of the Adebimpe Adedeji Foundation for Impact and Empowerment.
My personal philosophy is expressed through three values: Accountability, Discipline and Benevolence. I see accountability as the basis of trust, discipline as the foundation of sustained excellence, and benevolence as the human purpose behind achievement.
My goal is to continue growing as a professional, contribute to stronger institutions, support the development of others and build a legacy defined not only by what I accomplish, but also by the positive difference I help create.
Upholding honesty, transparency and ethical conduct.
Pursuing consistent improvement through preparation, focus and sound standards.
Striving for quality, accuracy and continuous learning.
Treating people with compassion and using opportunities to support their growth.
Applying knowledge and experience in ways that contribute to institutional and community development.
Subject to professional responsibilities and availability, Adebimpe welcomes appropriate professional and educational discussions, mentorship conversations and opportunities to collaborate.
